About the job

Clera is looking for a Field Engineer to serve as the primary technical contact for customer integrations and rollouts. In this role, you will scope requirements early in implementation and troubleshoot production issues. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to reduce implementation friction and improve documentation and tooling.

What you will do

Scope technical requirements with customers early in implementation
Act as primary technical contact for integrations and rollouts
Troubleshoot integration issues in production
Collaborate with product and engineering on implementation friction
Improve documentation, tooling, and internal processes

What you bring

4 to 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles
Hands-on troubleshooting of production integration issues
Working knowledge of web stacks and APIs (REST, webhooks, event-driven)
Production experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript
Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL
Ability to scope requirements and design implementations with customers

Nice to have

Experience writing technical documentation or API guides
Cross-functional collaboration and influencing product decisions
Domain expertise in KYB, KYC, AML, or regulated onboarding
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, message queues, or cloud platforms
Clear communication of complex technical concepts
